The α,β,β',ω subunits are drawn in magenta, the α-subunit that interacts with PhoB is drawn in cyan, the σ-subunit is drawn in yellow, the PhoB-a is drawn is red and the PhoB-b is drawn in blue. Figure 3b shows the close-up of molecules (α-CTD, σ-CTD and segment of β-subunit) interacting with the two PhoB molecules.
